Two militants have been shot dead in a U.S. drone strike in Pakistan's northwestern tribal belt.

The Fox News reports that U.S. drones attacked when the two militants were riding a motorcycle in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan tribal district.

According to the report, this area has a stronghold of Taliban and Al-Qaeda-linked militants along the Afghan border.

Local security officials said both the militants were believed to be from Turkmenistan but their exact nationalities are yet to be ascertained.
