The nine accused in the 2006 Malegaon blast case were discharged by a Mumbai court on Monday.

Out of the nine accused, one has dead, six are out on bail and two are convicted in the Mumbai 7/11 train blast case.

Reacting to the judgment, one of the accused Raees Ahmed, said: "Although justice was delayed; it's a big thing that it is delivered."

The nine accused - Noorul Huda, Shabbir Ahmed, Raees Ahmed, Salman Farsi, Farogh Magdumi, Shaikh Mohammed Ali, Asif Khan, Mohammed Zahid and Abrar Ahmed - were arrested in 2006 for the Malegaon blasts that killed 37 and injured over 100.

In November 2011, they were granted bail.
