At least 21 persons were killed and five injured this afternoon, when a bus fell into a gorge at Kadharghat on Basantpur-Kingal highway.
The Himachal Road Transport Corporation bus, was on its way from Shimla to Sawerakhud when the accident took place, a senior police official said.
All those who were injured in the mishap has been admitted in Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital here whose conditions are said to be critical.
"It happened near about 3 P.M; there were 26 people on the bus and 21 people have died.
The injured are in very critical condition. As an immediate relief we are giving the victims family five thousand each. We don't know about specific reason of the accident," said G.S.Negi, SDM, Shimla.
