Nearly three-quarters of Americans disapprove of Republicans' handling of the budget crisis, a new poll ahs found.
According to the ABC/Washington Post Poll, nearly 74 percent of Americans disapprove of the GOP, which has risen steadily since just before the government shutdown began.
A majority of Americans are also discontented with Democrats' role in the budget negotiations, the Huffington Post reports.
The poll found that nearly 61 percent of Americans now dislike congressional Democrats' handling of the crisis, as compared to 53 percent who dislike Obama's.
Americans who identified as Republican were about evenly split on congressional Republicans' performance, with 47 percent giving them a thumbs-down, the poll found.
