The total number of Zika virus infected cases has mounted to 94 in Rajasthan, informed Dr V.K. Mathur, Director of Public Health for Rajasthan.
Dr Mathur said that the health department is keeping a track of the situation and taking all necessary steps to stop the virus from spreading. 14 new cases have been tested positive in the last 24 hours in the state.
"A total of 94 cases of Zika virus have been tested positive in the state. Our teams are working to make people aware of it and are also looking for symptoms. The Municipal Corporation is also conducting fogging in areas," he told ANI.
The Health Department also informed that most of the persons infected from the virus have been recovered.
Chief Secretary D B Gupta, along with the higher officials of the department, has reviewed the situation today about the effect of Zika and other vector-borne diseases.
