Vikrant Masssey, who is playing the lead role in Konkona Sen Sharma's directorial debut 'A Death In The Gunj', says he felt responsible being part of the flick.
While speaking to ANI, the 30-year-old said, "It was a lot of responsibility as the film is Konkona's first film as a writer-director and also because it is my first feature as a protagonist. Moreover it's Abhishek Chaubey and Honey Trehan's first film as producers."
Adding, "As main protagonist, there's so much that you have to prove. Everybody just wanted to give their 100 percent. It was very challenging and it does make us nervous but I think challenges are what make us. So it's been more of a fun ride than a scary one."
The 'Dil Dhadakne Do' star also said he's glad the film is winning global acclaim and multiple awards at film festivals.
"All across, people have really appreciated the movie and my work too. They have appreciated Konkona's work.. she has done a fantastic job as a first time director-writer," said Vikrant.
'A Death In The Gunj' also stars Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey, Tanuja and the late Om Puri. The film is all set to hit theatres on June 2.
