The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday announced the support of Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA), and said they will work in cooperation for the betterment of the country.
Addressing a press conference here today, AAP leader Prashant Bhushan said, "The Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) have pledged its support to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its revolution for saving this country from corruption. They will walk shoulder to shoulder in our bid to build the country. We are happy to announce this."
Apart from NBA, former Communist Party of India (CPI) leader and Professor of International Studies in JNU Kamal Mitra Chenoy also formally joined the AAP.
Meanwhile, the press conference was disrupted by a man who identified as Vishnu Gupta, who shouted slogans and called Bhushan a 'traitor' over his recent remarks on the Kashmir issue.
According to news reports, Gupta belonged to the right wing group which attacked AAP headquarters few days ago.
