The Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) on Saturday demanded for an apology from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi president Manoj Tiwari for his misconduct with a lady at a function where she requested the singer-turned politician to sing few lines.

"From the video it appears that the lady asked Manoj Tiwari asked him respectfully requested him to sing few lines because before turning into a politician, he was renowned singer. Earlier, whenever he used to address any event then he sang few lines. But after a soft request from the lady, the way he lashed out at her and asking strict action against the concerned person is unfortunate," AAP's Delhi unit convener Dilip Pandey said.

Pandey added that Tiwari should have apologised for the conduct which happened rather than giving a cover up.

"Mentioning about the cameras worth two crore rupees is disappointing, He must think that those cameras is for the safety of women. More than the worth of those cameras, it is the safety of the women in Delhi. I would request Women Commission to take cognizance of the incident and act sternly so that people in power refrain from insulting the women power in public platform," he added.

In a viral video, Tiwari, who is known for singing songs at occasional events, was seen scolding a lady teacher when she asked him to sing at a function.

He started scolding her and asked her to leave stage and requested management to take strict action against this lady.

He scolded the teacher on stage in front of her students.

"You don't have manners to talk to a MP? You are asking an MP to sing a song. you do not know what is happening here. Here CCTVs are installed and you want me to sing. Leave the stage," he said.
