A Delhi Court on Monday was granted anticipatory bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Prakash Jarwal, who was charged with misbehaving with a woman.
The woman, alleged to be a member of the Rashtravadi Janata Party, had filed an FIR against Jarwal earlier on Friday.
The FIR was lodged at the Greater Kailash Police Station under Sections 354, 506, 509 and 34 of the IPC.
The victim said that she first approached the offices of Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and Delhi Police Commissioner Alok Kumar Verma before filing the FIR.
Jarwal on the other hand told ANI that a 'political game' was being played to malign the image of his party.
This is not the first time that Jarwal has landed in trouble, as he was arrested earlier in May 2014 for allegedly thrashing a junior engineer of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).
