Aaron Carter recently received a backlash for his bizarre post in which he said Michael Jackson had passed a torch to him.
Sharing black and white pic of the late singer, the 27-year-old singer tweeted, "Remember one very important thing. Michael passed down the torch to me, I never had to ask for him to do that", E! Online reports.
The 'I Want Candy' hit-maker shared another tweet, "No he compared himself to me. I knew Michael VERY well and spent lots of time with him. Just stop right there."
The Twitter users were quick to slam the singer's post.
One Twitter user wrote, "Aaron Carter is smoking so much crack wtf."
Another wrote, "MJ reading Aaron Carter's tweets from the grave like."
However, after the backlash, the post was immediately deleted.
