Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh on Monday alleged that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has not yet accepted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar because he is more concerned about his kinfolk.

"When they were creating the grand alliance against the Modi Government, they got everyone together from Deve Gowda to every 'kankad patthar' (trivial parties). And towards the end, Lalu ji was not ready to accept Nitish Kumar. It was only because of Mulayam Singh that Lalu Yadav agreed," he said.

"He (Lalu) had once said that he had come into the alliance after consuming poison, the poison was Nitish. He had not agreed earlier and does not agree even now because Lalu ji does not need anyone except his family," he added.

Singh also took a jibe at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and said that the latter was not aware of the ground realities of Bihar.

"Rahul Gandhi can address 13 rallies instead of three. What difference does it make? A person who does not possess the basic knowledge of the ground realities can never tell the reality to the nation. His only speciality is that he is the 'yuvraj' (prince)," he said.

He also expressed confidence that the BJP-led NDA would form the government in Bihar with two-third majority.

"There is no question of the BJP losing the elections. The government will be formed with two-third majority," he said.

A record 57.59 percent turnout was registered in the fourth phase of assembly elections in Bihar for which polling was held yesterday. The fifth and final phase of the polls will be held on November 5 while the counting of votes will take place on November 8.
