Andy Murray may have won the prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year award, and after his main sponsors Adidas joked whether his character actually met the criteria, his fans did not see the funny side.
The 26-year-old won the award on Sunday, following his Wimbledon success last summer, when he became the first Briton to win the men's single's title since Fred Perry in 1936.
According to the Mirror, after he was announced as the winner, Adidas uploaded this poster on their official Twitter account, alongside the caption: "Congratulations @andy_murray #allinforMurray".
The Scot then responded to the humorous ad on his Twitter profile with a simple ' ;)' smiley.
However, some Murray fans did not respond positively to the poster and felt it was disrespectful towards him and his success last month.
Sara Saab tweeted: "Anyone else find the Adidas Andy Murray 'no personality' campaign to be an unfunny diss?"
Some other negative responses are as follows:
Not sure how I would take this of I was Murray?! #adidas #BBCSPOTY pic.twitter.com/6ocWsRh9tu

Not sure if Adidas are insulting or complementing Andy Murray.
