Afghan Govt., Taliban likely to resume dialogue in few weeks

The peace talks between Taliban and the Government of Afghanistan will resume in a few weeks, senior diplomats and officials said.

Pakistan, Afghanistan, the US and China during Afghan President Ashraf Ghani's visit to Islamabad for Heart of Asia conference reached an agreement to restart the peace process.

The countries indicated that it should be a matter of weeks before the dialogue process resumes.

The first round of talks, brokered by Pakistan, was held in Murree which derailed in July.
