India U23 lost to Afghanistan by 28 runs in the Asian Cricket Council Emerging Teams Cup but qualified for the semi-finals where they will play UAE.
Afghanistan posted a score of 184/7 in their allotted 50 overs and then restricted India to 156/9.
However, the Afghans failed to make the semi-finals.
Pakistan U23 and Sri Lanka U23 were the other teams to reach the semi-final stage.
