Hurrah! It's a grand Diwali for 'Rockstar' Ranbir and the team of 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' as the film has surpassed 'Sultan's first day overseas collection, reports Box Office India.

The first-day collection for the film in US/Canada is 700,000 dollars approx, while it was 500,000 dollars for Salman's 'Sultan'.

Karan Johar's romantic-drama has also earned big numbers in the United Kingdom and has grossed nearly 200,000 pounds.

The opening day figures are easily transcending all records of the 'Tamasha' actor's films. Forgetting films like 'Roy', 'Besharam', and 'Bombay Velvet', ADHM will definitely be a record for the 34-year old star.
