All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) cadres today performed a special prayer, "Anga Prathikshanam" in the Vadapalani Murugan temple premises, for the release of party chief and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa.
About 51 cadres of AIADMK woman's wing headed by South Chennai District Secretary, Saraswathi Rangaswamy, along with hundreds of other cadres were present for the prayer offered for the release of their chief Jayalalithaa.
The AIADMK Minister Valarmathi, MLA Kalairajan and Mayor Saidai Duraiswami were also seen in attendance in the temple.
J. Jayalalithaa and three other accused in an 18-year-old Rs. 66 crore disproportionate assets case are likely to move the Supreme Court today, challenging the Karnataka High Court's order to refuse bail to them.
