Legendary New Zealand cricketer Martin Crowe, who has been battling a rare blood disease, has said that the World Cup final between his country's squad and Australia on Sunday could be the last game of cricket he watches.
In a column for the ESPNcricinfo website, the legendary cricket opined that his precarious life ahead might not afford him the luxury of many more games to watch and enjoy, adding that the World Cup finale at the Melbourne Cricket Ground was likely to be the last, News.com.au reported.
Crowe was the skipper of the team that reached the semifinals in the 1992 World Cup edition, last time New Zealand co-hosted the tournament.
New Zealand reached their first ever World Cup final following a thrilling four-wicket win over South Africa on Tuesday, and will be battling for their maiden title on Sunday.
