Former Pakistan pace spearhead Wasim Akram has tipped swashbuckling batsmen AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell and David Warner to dominate the upcoming cricket World Cup with their blistering knocks.
The 1992 World Cup-winner said that he was sure Maxwell, Warner and de Villiers would ignite the World Cup, adding that those three players have the firepower to take the game away in a blaze and it would be hugely exciting for the crowds to watch them, Sport24 reported.
Earlier this year, South African skipper De Villers hit the fastest one-day hundreds off just 31 deliveries against the West Indies.
Moreover, Maxwell and Warner are in superb form as they displayed their dominance during a warm-up game against India in Adelaide on Monday.
Akram further said that it would be a big challenge for the bowlers, adding that he would always go for taking their wickets rather than trying to contain them because if they stay longer they would pose trouble for the opponents, the report added.
