It's time for Hollywood to don tuxes and gowns and strut the red carpets. From peculiar outfit choices to celebrities' odd confession, the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards will surely not disappoint.
Known unique attires and passionate acceptance speeches, the ceremony will kick start 2019's award season.
The three-hour Golden Globe show kicks off at Los Angeles' historic Beverly Hilton but the ever-important fashion pre-game starts early on the Golden Globe Facebook page and "E! Live From the Red Carpet" with Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic, confirmed E!Online.
The Globes have made big splashes in the past with three-time hosts Tiny Fey and Amy Poehler, along with four-time host Ricky Gervais. But this year, it will be hosted by Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh. The chemistry and patter made a splash when the duo presented at September's Emmy Awards.
It was also reported that the spotlight can shine on under-the-radar TV shows that could be contenders in the upcoming fall Emmy season. For example, Netflix's Michael Douglas comedy 'The Kominsky Method' surprised everyone with three nominations.
The award presenting this year is a fleeting gig, but it's a big draw for viewers looking to see their favourite celebrities, from 93-year-old Van Dyke, to 'Black Panther' stars Boseman, Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong'o. Other presenters include Halle Berry, Sterling K. Brown, Jessica Chastain, Kaley Cuoco, Jamie Lee Curtis, Idris Elba, Harrison Ford, Johnny Galecki, Justin Hartley, Taraji P. Henson, Felicity Huffman, Allison Janney, William H. Macy, Chrissy Metz, Mike Myers, Gary Oldman, Jim Parsons, Sam Rockwell, Saoirse Ronan, Octavia Spencer, Ben Stiller, Lena Waithe and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The winners in 25 categories - 14 in film and 11 in television - are voted on by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) for the award ceremony.
The 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live on January 6, 2019 (local time).
