Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso has been cleared following a check on his back after bouncing over kerbs at high speed in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, after which he was suffering some pain.
According to the BBC, a medical alarm was triggered in the Spaniard's car when it crashed down at more than 150mph as he avoided contact with Toro Rosso's Jean-Eric Vergne.
The alarm in the car is triggered when it exceeds a G-force of 18, and means the driver must go to the medical centre for a check-up, the report said.
Alonso experienced vertical 28G in the impact, the report added.
A measurement of acceleration felt as weight, most F1 drivers are exposed to a lateral load of about 5G on fast corners, the report further said.
The incident happened as the Ferrari exited the pits from his final stop on lap 44 of the race, according to the report.
Alonso passed Vergne while running off the track but was cleared of wrongdoing by the stewards, who accepted that Alonso had no choice but to run wide because Vergne had left him no room, the report mentioned.
