Following the claims made by former Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Amar Singh that Amitabh Bachchan had 'warned' him not to accept his wife Jaya into his party, the Bollywood superstar on Thursday shot back that Singh is his 'friend' and has right to say what he wants about the latter.
"He is a friend; he has a right to say whatever he wants, about me," the 73-year-old actor said.
It is reported that Singh, who was once very close to the Bachchan family, had yesterday at an event said that Amitabh had once warned him not to accept Jaya in his political field considering her 'inconsistent nature and habits.'
Singh was asked to comment on the Panama Paper leaks and Bachchans involvement in them when he came up with the startling statement.
He, however, said that he did not adhere to Big B's 'noble advice'.
