Two women were killed while 13 others were injured after wall of a deserted building collapsed in Madhya Pradesh's Bina area yesterday.
The injured have been admitted to a railway hospital, where condition of two is said to be critical.
A police official said that the injured were railway staff, who were working on a railway track, near the deserted building.
"Around 15 gangmen (railway trackman) were working near the deserted building. Due to the rainstorm, they had taken shelter near the wall, which suddenly collapsed on them. As a result, two women workers have been killed, while others are injured," said District Superintendent of Police (DSP), Q.R. Zaidi
There are at least a dozen deserted buildings near railway tracks in the area. Despite repeated requests, railway officials have allegedly not shown any interest to demolish such buildings.
