Middle-order batsman Umar Amin and wicket-keeper Adnan Akmal are likely to face the axe as the selectors are considering their replacements for the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka in the UAE starting from December 31, according to reports.
According to The Express Tribune, the squad for the three-match series will be announced soon after the final discussion between selection committee and the team management that is expected on Monday.
After conclusion of the One-Day International (ODI) series, Pakistan will play three Tests against Sri Lanka on the last day of 2013, the report said.
An official close to the selection committee said the selectors are not in favour of including Amin and Adnan, who were part of last Test series against South Africa, the report added.
