England cricket great Ian Botham has saluted retired spinner Graeme Swann as a peerless bowler, fielder and entertainer and said that the player would be missed terribly.
According to the Mirror, Botham said that that everyone should be thankful for what Swann has done for the England team over the last five years and more.
He has been the best spinner England have had for a long time and for the years he played Test cricket he was arguably the best in the world, Botham said.
Botham added that he thinks Monty Panesar will come in to do a job as the spinner now and he's a classy bowler too so there is no reason why England can't stand up and give Australia hell this week.
It is time for this team to show what they are made of and put in a performance worthy of an Ashes tour, Botham further said.
