Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah today addressed a rally in Hyderabad, appealing to BJP workers to take Andhra Pradesh and Telangana forward towards growth and development together as brothers.

Appreciating the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government; he said that with its formation, India has got a government with majority votes.

"We want India to be Congress-free country. In the future, I can see that if BJP workers work hard in the coming five years, then Telangana will also get a BJP government," said Shah.

"Modi has gifted AIIMS to Telangana and has also given it the Horticulture and Tribal universities, which are the only ones in India. The government assures the people of Telangana that it will work in fulfilling all their needs," he added.

During his two-day visit to Hyderabad, Shah had earlier met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and had a breakfast meeting with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N T Rama Rao.

Yesterday he had also met Telugu actor and Jana Sena party founder Pawan Kalyan.
