Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Friday lashed out at the Bihar Government over yesterday's incident where BJP chief Amit Shah and other senior leaders were trapped in the lift of the state guest house in Patna, saying the response reflected the mindset of Nitish Kumar, who has now joined hands with his former adversary Lalu Prasad Yadav.
"This is the mentality of the state government and it is not very unusual with Lalu Yadav as a friend of Nitish Kumar, such utterances which are being made by Lalu Prasad Yadav or for that matter the response of the state government is nothing very unusual for the state of Bihar," Rudy told ANI here.
"There was no one to attend to the lift. You declare someone as a state guest then do not look after him. But this is not very unusual for the state government of Bihar. And the fact that they are saying that the capacity of the lift was x and the weight was y, but the capacity of the lift was of six persons and there were only four persons, may be five persons in the lift," he added.
Shah and three other senior leaders were trapped in the lift of the state guest house in Patna for around 40 minutes last night.
