Amitabh Bachchan conferred with Yash Chopra Memorial Award in Mumbai

Amitabh Bachchan has been conferred with the second Yash Chopra Memorial Award 2014 at an event held in Mumbai recently.

The award was presented by the Governor of Maharashtra and several government Ministers and dignitaries along with Pamela Chopra, wife of late Yash Chopra, Simi Garewal and Jaya Prada among others were present at the event. peaking on the occasion, the 'Bhoothnath Returns' star thanked everyone and said, "I am sitting here from quiet long and all these dignitaries who came here said such nice words about me, my acting etc. and after hearing so many compliments today I realized I couldn't learn one form of acting and that is what should be my expression when you are showered with so many compliments."

Lata Mangeshkar had received the prestigious award in 2013.

The award is given to deserving and prominent figures from the Indian cinema for their outstanding contributions in diverse fields.
