Cameron Diaz, recently said that making 'Annie' for the next generation was awesome.

The 'Charlie's Angels' actress asserted that she grew up with Annie, and now for her getting to do Annie was a great opportunity, because she got to sing and dance which she wouldn't be able to, Contactmusic reported.

Diaz, who is playing the role of 'Miss Hannigan' in the musical-comedy adaptation, added that it felt her really awesome to make a movie for new generation and introduce them to their 'Annie'.

The third on-screen adaptation of 'Annie' also stars Jamie Foxx and is produced by Will Smith and Jay-Z.
