Real Madrid football team manager Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly told Louis van Gaal to forget about winning the English Premier League in his debut season at Manchester United.
United had finished seventh last month under David Moyes' stewardship, which led to the Scot's sacking after 10 disastrous months in charge of Old Trafford.
Although Ancelotti praised the appointment of Van Gaal as the new United boss, he warned the Dutchman that he would find the Premier League more competitive than any country in which he has managed, The Mirror reported.
Ancelotti, who won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2010, warned United must rebuild before they can think about wining the title again.
The Italian said that Van Gaal is a very good and very experienced manager, he has fantastic experience and he will do a fantastic job at United, and added that the Dutchman is a manager who has nothing to learn.
Ancelotti also said that after Sir Alex Ferguson, it was more difficult for United, but they now have to rebuild a team. He added that the club has signed good players, but building a team is not easy and the Premier League is a very competitive league.
The Real Madrid boss said that it would not be easy to win in the first year, because there are many competitive teams who want to win. He further added that it is also not easy to implement a new system.
