The Maoists are demanding a rollback of the TDP government's decision to mine bauxite in the area.

According to reports, Maoist east division secretary Kailasam released a letter to the media yesterday at Seeleru, asking the state government to give up its plans of mining for bauxite in Visakha Agency and withdraw paramilitary forces from all pockets and stop violating the rights of the tribals.
