Angelina Jolie has recorded a testament to Louis Zamperini for a Radio 4 documentary about the late Olympian and prisoner of war.
The 39-year-old actress said that Zamperini, who is one of the greatest people she have ever met, was somebody that was so full of love and life and it was contagious, BBC News reported.
Jolie will be heard telling that people say to never meet heroes because they disappoint, but Louis was her hero and he reminded her of the power of the individual spirit and a sense of purpose, and overcoming obstacles.
She adds that if people were around him they became a better person who looked at life differently and it helped to remind her of that.
The Louis Zamperini Story will be broadcast on Radio 4 on 7 November.
