Angelina Jolie, who recently got a double mastectomy and wants to get her ovaries removed next, is all set to portray the role of her own mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died of ovarian cancer in 2007, in a new biopic.
The biopic celebrating Bertrand's life will go into production in 2014 under Brad Pitt's company 'Plan B', the Daily Express reported.
The 'Salt' star's mother was involved in humanitarian work herself and helped women Afghan refugees.
She also launched the Give Love Give Life organisation to help fight gynaecological cancers.
The 37-year-old actress is still haunted by her mum's suffering and untimely death at just 56.
The Oscar-winning mother-of-six described Bertrand as "grace incarnate".
Jolie recently said that she feels blessed that her mum was around to see both her brother and her in a nice place.
She added that the late actress waited till everyone was OK and then she closed her eyes.
