Angus Fraser says no 'conflict of interest' will arise during his first meeting as England selector

English domestic cricket club's managing director of cricket Angus Fraser has insisted that no conflict of interest would arise during his first meeting as England selector.

The Middlesex chief's team reportedly chased down an incredible 472 to beat Yorkshire by seven wickets in the Championship and Fraser knows that he would be talking about a few of his players around the table to be considered for the national squad.

Fraser is likely to focus on Aussie-born opener Sam Robson, Eoin Morgan and Steve Finn to be selected in the national squad instead of Aussie opening batsman and captain Chris Rodgers, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

However, Morgan might be the only player out of the trio who qualifies for the side which faces the World Cup qualified Scotland next week, but all the players could feature by the time the Tests come around.

Meanwhile, Fraser has given a short confession over accusations that he and his Nottinghamshire counterpart Mick Newell, who has also joined the selection panel for the first time, would be conflicted.

Fraser said that has there been anyone who has not got a conflict of interest, adding that if somebody had played cricket for Lancashire that does not mean that the person is conflicted if he picks up a Lancastrian.

Fraser insisted that he trusts himself to make the right decisions for the right reasons, adding that as long as he can lay his head on the pillow and be happy with the decision's he has made than it is fine.
