Fans and followers finally got a taste of the TV show '24's second season. Apparently for some, the kissing scene between Anil Kapoor and his lady love in the trailer left a sour tang in the mouth.

Reacting to the furore around the 'lip-lock' scene, the 59-year-old actor said, "About time we stopped making a fuss about these things," reports DNA.

"The content in 24 is not juvenile. We are looking at a series which has certain international standards to uphold," added the 'Dil Dhadakne Do' actor.

He, further said that the kissing scene was included as it was a dire need of the story-line,"This is not a light-hearted soap or sitcom. 24 is a political thriller. My character is shown to be in a relationship with a woman (Surveen Chawla). I've kissed in my films when there has been a need to. In 24, a lip-lock was needed. So we went ahead and did it.
