Anti-Polio drive to commence in Balochistan tomorrow

A three-day anti-polio drive will commence in ten districts of Pakistan's Balochistan province.

The provincial coordinator of Polio emergency Operation Centre, Dr Saif-ur-Rehman, said that more than 0.5 million children under the age of five year would be administered polio drops during the drive, reports Radio Pakistan.

He added that 1,678 mobile teams have been constituted to administer the polio drops to the children.

The law enforcement agencies in wake of the drive have stepped up security measures to provide protection to the personnel of the polio team.
