AP universities receive Rs 255 crore from UGC for upgradation

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a fund of Rs. 255 crores for the upgradation of universities in Andhra Pradesh.

An amount of Rs 55 crore has been reportedly allocated for the Rajahmundry Government College while Rs. 20 crore each has been granted to Andhra, Sri Venkateswara, Acharya Nagarjuna and Sri Krishnadevaraya universities, as per reports.

Pathapatnam College in Srikakulam and Cheepurupalli College in Vizianagaram have also been granted Rs. 12 crore each.
