Retailer Argos is set to challenge tablet computer makers Apple, Amazon and Samsung with launch of a tablet for 99 pounds.
Argos managing director John Walden said that MyTablet will be in time for Christmas, as tablets will feature heavily on Christmas lists this year.
According to the Daily Express, MyTablet, which comes with an Argos app embedded, will also make it easier for customers to order goods online through the retailer's "check and reserve" service.
It comes in pink or silver, with free apps and games including BBC iPlayer, Angry Birds, Twitter, Facebook and an e-book reader app, the report said.
According to the report, the tablet is Wifi and Bluetooth-enabled with a 1.6GHz dual core processor, a seven-inch screen and 8GB of memory.
