An Indian Army soldier died while another was injured when an avalanche hit an army post in Pooch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
According to sources, a search operation was launched immediately after the avalanche, and the soldiers trapped under the snow were evacuated. However, only one soldier was recovered alive. He was immediately shifted to a nearby Army health facility.
