Asiana airlines will have to pay millions of dollars to the passengers of its 214 flight that crash landed in San Francisco on Saturday, a leading aviation law expert said.

Arthur Wolk, a personal injury attorney specializing in air crashes, said that there's a claim not worth less than 1 million dollars for the airlines.

CNN reports that it was the first fatal airline crash in the United States in nearly four years.

Wolk said even passengers who escaped without any physical injuries are likely to see a seven-figure settlement from the airline and its insurance carriers due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

He added that the cause of the crash is not going to make a huge difference in settlement amounts.

According to the report, the larger settlements will be for passengers who sustained major injuries, as well as for the two Chinese girls who died.
