Assam Budget Session to begin today
The Budget Session of Assam Assembly will begin today with the address of Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will present Annual Budget for the next financial year on February 7.
The House will also elect a new Assembly Speaker today.
BJP and its ally nominated legislator Hitendra Nath Goswami is likely to be elected unopposed to the post.
