Former West Indies bowler Curtly Ambrose opined that a shift in attitude is the reason that cricket in the Caribbean has undergone a massive downfall, despite the region having some of the most talented players in recent times.
According to Ambrose, it was 'serious business' in the old times and there was never a time when the players just went through the motions because it was the nets, news.com.au reported.
He also noted that many English county teams do not touch West Indians because they carry a reputation of being lazy and of coming with large egos.
Ambrose further said that all the West Indies greats, including Sir Vivian Richards, Michael Holding, Andy Roberts and Malcolm Marshall polished their skills in English cricket, while the current crop of cricketers from the region don't get the opportunity to do so.
