Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the nation's armed forces have never been used by her party as a tool for capturing power.
She said the armed forces of Bangladesh which originated from the War of Liberation are the pride of the nation.
Hasina made these remarks at Bangladesh Armed Forces Day reception yesterday, reports the Dhaka Tribune.
The prime minister said that her party has worked for the development of the armed forces and welfare of its members whenever it came to power.
Hasina congratulated the members of the armed forces on the occasion and asked them to be imbued with the ideals and spirit of the Armed Forces Day to work together for the nation.
