'Baahubali 2' becomes highest earning Indian movie of all time

The 'Baahubali' wave has taken over the world and it is in no mood to stop.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the second installment of the 'Baahubali' franchise has become the highest grossing Indian film of all time by earning 131 million USD worldwide.

The film easily beat 2014's 'PK,' which collected approx. 123 million USD.

SS Rajamouli's directorial collected 13.1 million USD in US and beat previous record-holder Dangal's 12.4 million USD total haul in the territory.

In India, the film has collected over 106 million USD, becoming the highest-grossing film in the country, beating previous record-holder 'Dangal' which collected 83 million USD.

Recently, the movie beat Tom Hanks' high-tech thriller 'The Circle' at the North American box office to become the first Indian movie to emerge at number three at US box office.

'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' is the sequel to the 2015 'Baahubali: The Beginning' and is directed by S. S. Rajamouli.

The movie stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.
