The Badminton Association of India has appealed to the nation to watch ace shuttler PV Sindhu's final match against Carolina Marin of Spain on Friday and support her in this formidable feat.
World no. 10 Pusarla Venkata Sindhu outplayed Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in the semi-final and now the Hyderabad girl will face world no. 1 Carolina in the final match later in the day.
In a special message to PV Sindhu, Badminton Association of India President, Akhilesh Das Gupta said, "The entire nation of 125 crores Indians is backing and sending you best wishes for the crucial match. You play fearlessly today and give your best in this once in a lifetime moment. You have ability to beat any player in any part of the world. Hence, just play your game and enjoy the match."
PV Sindhu is the first women single player to reach the final of the Olympics and first player to play for Gold and Silver Medal.
