Controversial Italian footballer Mario Balotelli, who rejoined the AC Milan on a season-long loan from Liverpool, is likely to be out of the game for three months as he has to undergo a hernia operation.
According to the Guardian, Balotelli was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia that requires surgery.
Balotelli, who had not played for Milan since a defeat by Genoa in September, is unlikely to compete for a place in the side until February 2016.
The 25-year-old faced flak for his attitude and lack of work-rate during his ill-fated campaign last season at Liverpool.
