A Bangladeshi cattle trader has reportedly been shot by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Nondail border in Panchbibi upazila of Joypurhat.

Twenty-eight year old, Md Razu Ahmed, son of Shahidul Islam of Nondail village in the upazila, was crossing the border along with other cattle traders near the 278/58 international pillar around 5:30am on Tuesday when the BSF troops of Mothurapur camp in India opened fire, reported The Daily Star.

A bullet killed Razu on the spot.

Major Nasir Imam Rumi, BGB Deputy Assistant Director of the battalion-3, said that the Indian side took the body along with them and have not yet responded to the BGB's request of holding a flag meeting and returning the body of the deceased.
