German champions Bayern Munich's 53-match unbeaten run in the Bundesliga has come to an end following a 1-0 defeat by mid-table Augsburg on Saturday at the SGL Arena.
Bayern's last league defeat was against Bayer Leverkusen in October 2012 and the defeat by Bavarian rivals Augsburg was Bayern's third in all competitions this season.
According to the BBC, home striker Sascha Molders scored the only goal in the 31st minute when he slotted past Manuel Neuer.
The report mentioned that Bayern was beaten by Borussia Dortmund in the July's German Super Cup and lost to Manchester City in the group stages of the Champions League.
Bayern coach Pep Guardiola named a weakened team with Wednesday's Champions League last-eight second leg tie against Manchester United, which will take place at the Allianz Arena, with the aggregate score 1-1, the report added.
