England coach Trevor Bayliss has hinted that his side could consider two specialist spinners at home after leg-break bowler Adil Rashid was added to an expanded 14-man squad for the second Test match against Pakistan at Old Trafford, which begins from Friday.
Pace spearhead James Anderson and all-rounder Ben Stokes have also been called to the squad after recovering from their respective injuries while Rashid is added as a second spin option, with the first being all-rounder Moeen Ali.
With Ali being effectively countered by Pakistan in the opening Test, there has been growing belief that Rashid could replace the 29-year-old as England's front-line spinner.
Highlighting the presence of three left-arm bowlers in the Pakistan squad, the England coach said that he had always thought of playing two spinners at home and that he was looking forward of doing the same in the upcoming matches, Sport24 reported.
Bayliss believes playing two specialist spinners in the team could play an important role in turning the things around for the hosts.
England are trailing 1-0 in the four-match series after losing the opening Test match by 75 runs at Lord's on Sunday.
