The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday congratulated the Indian Cricket Team on winning the four-match Test series against the West Indies by taking an unassailable lead of 2-0 at the end of third Test at St. Lucia.

BCCI president Anurag Thakur said, "On behalf of everyone in Indian cricket I would like to congratulate Team India on their series win in West Indies. This is a result of their dedicated effort, which has translated into a series of successful performances. I also congratulate Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble for this victory."

The Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, Ajay Shirke said, "My hearty congratulations to the Indian Cricket team on the Test series win in West Indies. The team can be very proud of what they have achieved. "

India sealed a series-victory over the West Indies after defeating the hosts by 237 runs on the final day of the third Test at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Chasing a victory target of 346 after India's second innings declaration at 217 for seven, the West Indies struggled against the tourists' pacemen and were bowled out meekly for 108.

Only Darren Bravo (59) was able to provide some resistance as Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami scalped three wickets while Ishant Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two and one wickets respectively.
