With the Supreme Court appointed panel in the IPL fixing case banning Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) for two years, it is speculated that the BCCI may now come up with two new franchises in the upcoming editions of the tournament.
According to sources in the BCCI, the board is likely to introduce two new franchises.
It is also believed that both CSK and RR can now appeal against the judgment in the Supreme Court.
Sources also disclosed that the BCCI's Disciplinary Committee will study the report submitted by Justice Lodha-headed panel and then the board will initiate action accordingly.
